Does this have to be a listing we have preapproved with Ribbon or any listing we have?
Greetings, I’ve just become aware of Ribbon. How does the engagement work for a buyer? Does it become a rent to own scenario? Please advise. Thank you.
Hi Regina, wonderful question. We have several options for your various buyer needs. Yes, we can upgrade buyers to cash and if they can secure their mortgage by closing, we can help them upgrade and win. If they need more time to close (home to sell or needed to close in 14 days to win), we will step in and buy the home on their behalf. You client would pay short term rent and when they are ready to secure their mortgage, rent concludes and we transfer the home to them at the original purchase price.

Hey Chelsea, Great question! A lot of the agents we work with who already have Dotloop or Zipforms in place will use Ribbon to generate and collect offers since it’s so much faster, there’s an iPhone app to do it on-the-go, you can collect multiple offers… And then once they need to record it for their brokerage, export the documents and put into their document storage system for brokerage compliance.
We’re also going to be integrating with these platforms over time. We’ve found this the best way to start because then you don’t need your brokerage to change their software, while you as an agent can use these free, powerful tools.
For Android, we’re definitely looking to build for all platforms that Realtors use! 🙏 We would love to stay in touch if you’re interested in being an early user after we develop the app
Will this work with SC properties as well?
Hey Johnika, thanks for your question! As of today, these tools are NC only, but we’re building for other states as we speak with SC prioritized, especially since most of our agents in South Charlotte / Waxhaw do business in SC

If a Buyer does Cash through Ribbon Upgrade, can the fee be added to the contract as Seller Paid closing cost? Will the fee be on the HUD?
Can a buyer agent make an offer without the app, if we're an android user until the play store app comes out?
